The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Wordless Wednesday - Geranium versicolor
This week's Wordless Wednesday is the flower of a species geranium, Geranium versicolor. The flower is round 1 inch or so in diameter.
Thanks everyone. I will admit I did alter brightness and contrast to accentuate the lines on the versicolor. It is a real flower and looks pretty much like this in real life.
Ahh... this is spectacular!! I must show mu husband this. He LOVES geraniums... as do I. They are very beautiful flowers. I planted a fertility garden when I was trying to conceive my 3rd son and I planted pink and white geraniums all over. They calm me and just are gorgeous! GREAT WW! - Audrey Pinks & Blues
I'll try this again - my spelling error was too horrible to leave it there. The purple tracery in the petals is spectacular. Thanks for posting such a beautiful shot. Happy WW!
