The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Photo Hunt - reflection
The theme for this week's Photo Hunt is reflection. Here is a photo of two unknown people on a bridge at Doneraille Park in Mallow, Ireland. Wow two weeks in a row where I haven't stretched the theme! Is this a record for me?
Haha! Must the be holidays weighing you down that's making you tackle these theme as straightforward as possible. Hey, this is gorgeous. No stretch there.
Very nice Jams. As a civil engineer I marvel at all those stone structures constructed many years ago and still standing now. So many contemporary structures are going to be gone within a hundred years.
Great picture -- have never been to Ireland in real life, only seen it in photo entries like yours (and Dragon Days, etc.). So am glad you put this picture up. :)
What's that white stuff on the water? Is that just the light reflecting on some ripples in the water or is it foam because there's a strong current? Very intriguing!
Fantastic photo for the theme, beautiful and romantic. You should be proud of yourself, Jams, next week's theme (metal) should help you to continue doing so well.. :) Have a nice weekend.
Your's is a very lovely photo. It is so great to see people enjoy the simple things in life like watching the water from a bridge or perhaps even having fun seeing their own reflection in it.
What a relaxing scene! Watching your watery reflection and reflecting on one's thoughts - yes, you came up with a perfect photo this week. Next week our country will be celebrating "Thanksgiving" - a time for reflection - to give thanks for our many blessings. One of those is Photohunt - thanks to you and all the other photographers who have provided so many beautiful images to us enjoy. God bless and keep up the good work!
That is such a magical photo! Love the bridge and the reflections are very cool. Happy weekend!
