The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

am now wondering if we are related !!! It is a pity my father is not alive to see the total collapse of the party Dev helped found , not so sure the replacement will be better, just different or perhaps more of the same

ReplyDeleteMy parents were born i the 20s too. Dad has a low opinion of many of the actions taken in the 30s too. As for Dev, he hates him!
