The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

What I mean: Very very often we are hesitating from doing what we wish to do by telling ourselves: 'I can't' ... 'What, if it doesn't work?'.
I am pretty sure, that we – you, Jams, I and yes: (wo)mankind – would reach much more, were we less hesitating.
On the other side: I'd have moved to Ireland long ago, if ...
