The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I liked the Midge Ure era Ultravox but the three albums with John Foxx on vocals are still among my favourites
Always wirthwhile and people like them. I am sure Beatroot's tasste could be the object of similar statements! Actually the posts are part of teh blog's "long tail", relatively few bring in big traffic but at least one regular reader (if not commenter) came for a song and staued for the drivel!
Excellent album indeed Roger. Shame I was a little too young to see the original line up.
I'm planning similar music posts. My taste of music, beetroot calls weird.
