Wallace and Gromit reunion

After more than a decade off the television screen, it is very pleasing to see that Wallace and Gromit will be returning to BBC One late next year. A new programme Trouble At’ Mill features the cheese-loving inventor and his canine companion’s attempts to run a bakery. Apparently, 62 West Wallaby Street has been converted into a granary with ovens and robotic kneading arms. The pair have started home deliveries and built a windmill on top of the house to grind corn. Business is booming, but Wallace is distracted by a love affair.

It is good to see Wallace and Gromit back together again after the arguments and scandals that threatened to destroy their career, including Wallace’s participation in the infamous Edna Krabappel sex tape and Gromit’s drunken outburst on the David Letterman Show. I for one am glad they have put their past animosities aside to deliver another slice of subversive comedy.

Wallace and Gromit is one of those segments of England that continue to draw me to the nation. Quality programming of the highest regard, and I look forward to new episodes of this great subversive programming.

Long live cheese loving inventors!

I look at The Simpsons and I'm always amazed that it stays relatively funny after so many years. I haven't seen that many Wallace and Gromit episodes but I do love the movies by the same animation team like 'Chicken Run' and 'Flushed Away.' I may be just bedazzled by the big white teeth, I don't know.

My favorite from the W&G creators is the Creature Comfort films. They crack me up no matter how many times I see them. And I just looked on their assorted sites and discovered there's a Shaun of the Sheep spoof - must see that one!

I love W&G Roland - utterly wasted on kids! Wallace is doubly a hero for putting Wensleydale chees back on the map.

EWBL I don't get to see new Simpsons any more now that the Murdoch channel first runs are on has been puled from cable (Sky wanted about an additional £36m for the rights, Virgin said get lost). The Simpsons remained amusing but had sliped rather. Pehaps it should go before it slips into the mire. It's had a great innings. Chicken Run was excellent fun! I love the trademark big toothy faces.

Creature comfors is excellent. Aardman's output is superb

I find it amazing that of all the odd cultural exports Beavis and Butthead ended up in the UK.

Wallace and Gromit are the best! I wonder how quickly we will see them on our side of the pond.
