The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Robyn
This week's entry for the Friday Ark and Carnival of the Cats. No Photo Hunt this week as I will be away until late on Saturday
He's definitely the Alpha cat Bryan. I've watched him see off interlopers - he just looms over them and they almost always run off. Sadly his tail doesn't frizz much when in conflict mode. Luckily it's pretty impressive as it is.
He looked surprised ewbl? I'm not surprised. Nobody was meant to know about his secret mission to Houston!
Robyn has that "what're you lookin' at?" stance and face. I wonder if there was another tom in the vicinity that provoked his ire. Great picture as always, jams.
There he is, ready to take on the world and keep interlopers out of his garden.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine he would appear huge if he went into full fuzz mode with an arched back, as big as he is at rest.
I see his pretty black lips!
ReplyDeleteWhile working yesterday my daughter and I spotted a Robyn clone. He looked surprised as I yelled out 'ROBYN!" to him, though.

That'a a very fine cat indeed.
ReplyDeleteYou like cats?? Who knew!? Robyn is a fine fellow, and very menacing-looking. ;) Have a good weekend Jams!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. Robyn is a gentle giant, mercifully. He is definitely very flexible too!
ReplyDeleteHe's handsome

ReplyDeleteThanks Steve. There was no other cat in the vicinity. That's his happy face!
