Wordless Wednesday -
This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday edition of Wordless Wednesday is sad proofthat winter has taken its toll on the garden. Never mind. Spring is not that far off
JAMS: Twas the weeks before Christmas and all through the Infidel house all the creatures were stirring......because it was so freakin HOT!
Seriously, 80-85 degrees in December is hot even for Houston. I had to turn on all our fans and the A/C yesterday. :( Couple that with crappy Internet service lately and it makes for a very unhappy holiday thus far.
Oh no!! We decided to plant some Snapdragons just so we would have color for a couple months...Spring never comes soon enough! (mine's up - another real foto from NY!) Happy WW :)
jams, Of course the Book of Kells is priceless but I found this on eBay: "Irish School, limited prints, Book of Kells Irish School "The Book of Kells: The Symbols of the Four Evangelists; Christi Antem Generatio; Portrait of St. John" Limited edition prints (3) 17.75" x 13.25" (45.09 x 33.66cm.), Trinity College Authentication Stamp; each numbered 937/3000 Estimate : CAD1,000 - CAD1,500"
I know this isn't the real book of Kells but authenticated prints (selected pages)sell for the prices you see above (I think that's Canadian dollars?)
It's 80 something degrees here...but our garden is nothing like yours. We could do a lot more with our yard, but sadly I'm a bit lazy when it comes to caring for flowers. www.mamapj.com
I am still seeing much beauty here, and must say that if this is what they look like in winter it must not get very cold there, lol, and they must look awesome in summer. I love Fushias :o)
Happy Wordless/Woofless Wednesday.

Even if your flowers hang their heads they still show a certain sentiment... it's touching in a different way. Great shot, thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Aw, poor old fuchsia. It's a lovely shot, though, despite the flower's imminent demise - the colours are beautiful. Happy WW - and thanks for the Christmas card. I've not even bought mine yet, LOL.
Oh, sad! But it will be back to pretty in just a few months, I'm guessing, since you can still see flowers to snap pics of. We have had nothing for a couple of months now. We are snow covered.

Oh those poor things.
The looked liked exhausted umbrellas after a storm! Beautiful, nonetheless.
ohhh stunning photo I wonder what kind of flower is that?
Ahhh...there's always the hope of Spring. Happy WW!
"Spring is not that far off..." Sigh. I SO need to move away from this frozen country -- we don't start saying that until the end of February!
awww ... poor things. but, like you said, "Spring is not that far off.." :)
happy WW

Poor flowers :( Happy WW!
I hate that all the work you put into having beautiful flowers is razed by winter. Yes, spring. I love spring. Have a great WW. :)
At least they're not mush! Kind of look like they're sleeping.
Thanks everyone. Bloody hell Ewbl that hot? That is a good summer temperature for London!
They look like well preserved old ladies. Beautiful all the same. Fuscias have to be shaded here.
The Fuschias are long gone around here, mores the pity.
Best wishes

That is very sad but lets not get rid of winter so quickly...heck, it isnt even here yet:) Soon, they will be in bloom again!! Happy WW.

You are an optimist, lol ! Spring not far ! 5 months to wait at least !! Horrible, I go back to my wintersleep.
..... Will it be horrible if I say that I am really enjoying a Sunny December.
You should do a time lapse of your fuschia flowers over the last month or so! Nice one.

So sad to see that, but it's still a beautiful photo.
Awww, sad garden...
Hm, by reading the title and the date of its posting, I got extremely puzzled, Jams. And even 36 hours later I am.
How is possible that we continentals are one hour ahead when on the same time you are one day ahead?
:)
Update for James: 67
AH that's easy Sean. WW used to be a weekly Wednesday thing, Now it is a daily event. Most people only post on Tuesdays and Wednesdays though..
