Photo Hunt - High
The theme for this week's Photo Hunt is high. The London Eye certainly fits the bill even if it is no longer the world's biggest ferris wheel. It certainlyis a London landmark I like very much
Splendid photos, jams. I really like ferris wheels. Unfortunately, the last time I rode one was in 1998, on a birthday-ending-in-zero. But it was a good one, the one on the Navy Pier in Chicago. The view of the city was magnificent. Stella would not join me; she's afraid of heights... though curiously enough, not afraid of flying.
Someday, if I live long enough, I shall try the London Eye.
I enjoyed doing this a few years ago. They are pretty popular now. I understand Singapore has one and Melbourne is getting one. London though does have interesting history and things to look at.
Great shots and perfect for the high theme. I'm not doing a photohunt post this weekend but thought I'd visit some of the early ones before I shut down my computer as an pre-extension of my earth hour participation. I'm glad your post was up because I always enjoy your posts. Have a great weekend.
Cool pics! I want to ride the London eye on Summer. Been here for few years and yet I haven't done the london eye rides. It would be cool on night time, I guess.
My friend used to work for the eye and has many a tale to tell of some of the daft questions she was asked, such as if a pod fell into the Thames would it float?!
Oh both shots are nice. I think the first one is proportionately beautiful and the b/w shot is kinda tricky. I didn't realise it was b/w at first glance! :D
I use to love ferris wheels...but now...nope they scare the heck out of me....and that ride yup...I think that ride would make me wet my pants....and we don't need that....
great shots! To use the london ferris wheel! My dream! the photos are beautiful! As teacher with the 4 years old this is a graphism I 'd like to represent with my pupils!
The bigger one is not always the better ferris wheel! Great shots for the theme. The b/w one makes me a bit dizzy...!!
