Photo Hunt - Time

The subject for this week's Photo Hunt is time. Not being particularly happy with any of my photos of time pieces and still not well enough to head out on a hunt this week I decided to stretch the theme and choose the time when our flagship plant comes into bloom. May is the time that our species tree paeony (Paeonia lutea var. ludlowii) puts up its beautiful yellow flowers. They don't last for long sadly. For the rest of the summer the paeony is a gloriously large foliage plant

  2. Sounds like a species I had at home Jams. I think mine lasted even shorter. It bloomed at midnight and died by sunrise. Can you imagine waiting to see the bloom right after dinner? :P

  3. I'm sorry you aren't well yet and I hope you will be better soon. Gorgeous shot of the paeony. Interesting to see it today because I have one that has bloomed for the first time ever and it just opened up today. That may not seem so odd except for the fact that I planted it 11 years ago. I can't say it was worth waiting almost a decade but it's definitely a beauty. I knew when I planted it that it wouldn't bloom the first year but I had completely given up on it so I was amazed.

These paeony though its life is short but it live to the fullest, bloom into the peak of beauty and leave us remembering how beautiful it was. Life is the same. We should live it to the fullest, be the happiest for life is unpredictable, we might not know what will happen tomorrow.
