The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Interlude II
And a photo of a puppy. This is Zazie from Translyvania
I love labradors and so miss mine. Zazie looks so cute - would she like to come and live with me? (I have bones, and biscuits and snacks and tripe and dried fish) but Zazie will get steak with all the trimmings.
Thanks everyone.. Hey Snoopy dogs are rare visitors to the Poor Mouth but Zazie is a little sweetie who is extremely mischevious.. I consider her an honourary kitten!
