Robyn in flower pot

Felis hirsuta var. Robynus

This was the very first cat photo posted on the Poor Mouth three years ago when Robyn was just a twelve year old and I had more hair (sighs). This week's entry for the Friday Ark and Carnival of the Cats.

  1. I am always amazed at cats attraction to boxes, pots and so forth.

  2. A lot of people like pot ... oh, sorry.

A damp terra cotta pot would definitely be cool of a summer afternoon.

I'm sure that Robyn would be happy to contribute to your cause, Jams. and provide it, at intervals, already mixed with "glue", at random points around the house.

  4. Indeed Beakerkin.. the sight of ted in a small fruit bowl is amazing.. If he could get into a matchbox he would!

I can imagine it would be a cool spot Bryan. Hmm Robyn does make a lot of "offerings" but it is the surfeit of fur

Thanks, Kareltje hi is a handsome fellow!

  5. Robyn is utterly cute... :)

My cat (Zeytin) use to scratch the pots of my plants and get the soil out all over the floor. It use to drive me insane.... Then all of a sudden she stopped... I have no idea what happened....

  8. Thanks Nevin. Like every cat I'm sure Zeytin does things just to keep us on our toes!

Thanks Ailyrohuile. he is an all round delightful cat. Handsome and very well mannered, except around feeding time!

Certainly.. except the Donald Pleasance type character stroking the white Persian of course!

  9. I'm not doing either of those memes (just PhotoHunt), but that is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! What is it about large cats and small spaces? :-)

  12. I think the cat was trying to say ... the plant is getting far too much attention and if I sit in the pot ... I too may get some attention.
