The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Photohunt - Symbolic
The theme for this week's photo hunt is symbolic. This is the outside of of the Shoah Memorial in Paris, The concrete facing is made into a Star of David patterns.
This is an old post where I have just changed the date. I had a notification that I have filled my Picasa storage limit... off to delete a load of lesser photos methinks!
Great choice! By the way, when I reached my picsa limit, or came close, I started using photo buckets and flickr. They have a lot of free storage and you just copy the code in when preparing your post. Just a thought. Happy weekend.
Didn't realize that until I read the explanation. Very beautiful.
I use very little storage because I downsize my pictures before posting them. But with another free gmail acct you get storage.. again. Just copy and paste, I guess. Deleting pics from Picasa will delete them from the posts.
nice picture ! pay attention when you delete photos they are also deleted in your posts ! You can buy extra storage for 6 $ per year at Google/Picasa and a lot !! I could never use it up.
Pleasing geometry.
ReplyDeleteThanks James

ReplyDeleteVery nice. I'd love to see that memorial in person.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fun weekend.
The pattern seems slightly skewed so that the Star of David seems to be leaning forward, symbolic of hope and progress! Just a thought! A great find!

ReplyDeleteGreat photo. I must go to that memorial in person one day. I went to the Jewish Museum in Paris, that was very interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fitting memorial indeed.
ReplyDeleteVery clever! This one of those things that if you hadn't said they were the Star of David I don't think I would of seen it!
ReplyDeleteAH now I look with fresh eyes they could be easy to miss!
