The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

The second vid is beautiful......lovely plodding double bass and when the flute comes in it is exquisite....I can also here some woodwind in the background paving the way for the lead vocal. And nice subtle use of guitar....I think its guitar or lute or something similar.
