Photo Hunt Memorial

The theme for the week's Photo Hunt is memorial. This statue is the Fleet Air Arm memorial on the embankment not far from the Houses of Parliament. I love it. It's one of the eeriest statue I have ever seen.

NB Fleet Air Arm is the name for the Royal Navy's aviation wing

  4. Wow! I love it too but it's SO unusual for a military memorial. The first photo almost looks like Voldemort or some evil movie creature. But then in the third photo, he looks like he might be cuddling a rescued cat. I'm curious as to how old it is?

Great take on the theme! Happy weekend.

  14. If this was the face of a pilot it's of a man who's understood the horrors of war. It's uncanny yet very beautiful.

  24. Beautiful, and appropriately eerie. After all, it is a commemoration of the death of young men.
