The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Sorry for not much visiting over the past few days. There are things I need to think about. I will be back to my normal visiting soon though
A crossroads is better than being stuck in a rut, I'd humbly suggest (although I do realise that rather depends on where the roads that cross may lead too). I wish you good travelling.
This is definitely a perilous endeavor for any of us portly men. Take it easy, Jams. It will pass, and if you see a crossroads, just take it be my advice ;-)

Something I learned the hard way over the last few years is that it's always better to make the decision yourself than to wait for someone else to.
