The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Photo Hunt - Silhouette
The theme for the week's Photo Hunt is silhouette. This isn't a silhouette but still a nice and contrasty image of Lord Horror himself (That's Ted to those who don't fear his wrath!)
Marta bets he's "really sweet". Hmmm, lets ask a few birds and mice. I do love cats, but it troubles me that I can love such killers. They kill for play, for goodness sake. They sum up a huge debate and dilemma, in my opinion, about good, evil, and what level of responsibility we can possibly really have for what we are. Not that we are cats, of course. We are much worse.
Just purrrrfect :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's not a cat in that pic is it?
ReplyDeleteLord Horror? Too funny. Cool pic of the handsome guy.
ReplyDeleteMUCH more scary than Darth Vader! (Unless it's just a pussycat)
ReplyDeleteHe is in every way Cherie!
ReplyDeleteHe is an UBERcat James
Lord Horror... It is the perfect name for Ted Annie!
He is one scary fellow H
He is adorable. He seems to be related to my little lady, Emma, same coloration.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Lovely contrast. He has that mischievous look in his eyes.
ReplyDeleteBut I bet Lady Emma is not the epitome of evil Ewok!
ReplyDeleteHaha If only it was mischief Maya!
Lord Horror has a cunning disguise! He is so cute no one will ever suspect his true nature! Happy weekend Jams :)
ReplyDeleteI love this shot and I think it qualifies as a silhouette, or a half and half. Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an "I would like to eat you" look on his face, doesn't it? ;b
ReplyDeleteHe looks scary! It will make a great wall portrait which can scare off burglars. haha....
ReplyDeleteWonderful image!
ReplyDeleteTed is a handsome dude! Hard to believe he's a terror. :)
ReplyDeleteMine:

ReplyDeleteI thought it was the No 10 cat for a moment!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend Jams.
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteGawd - he looks mighty scary in this picture!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, Jams. Thanks for dropping by earlier.
Lord Horror is most likely a dear one in real life!! Happy weekend, Jams
ReplyDeleteHe is one scary cat Sreisaat!
ReplyDeleteI wish he was Mar. He has a nasty streak, sadly
quiet ferocity *shivers*
ReplyDeleteI really like this. It does look a bit like Darth Vadar. But I bet he is really sweet (to those he lets into his inner circle)
ReplyDeleteHe certainly has that "we are not amused" look on his face doesn't he. Mine is here.

ReplyDeleteI rather like Lord Horror. He looks very sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cat! You're lucky that he allowed himself to pose long enough for you to get a good shot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteH surprisingly Ted has never been much of a hunter. I think he prefers bigger prey - like us humans!
A tuxedo cat? Well worth fearing the wrath of. My family had a tuxedo cat when I was a kid. That thing was totally nuts. I much preferred my red cats.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they are all mad Alice Audrey!
