The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Ok, a theme is emerging. The lad nicks stuff off people's clothes lines and the girl nicks old mens' hats. The hat does look much nicer on her than on any old man though. What next? An old man in a nicked woman's blouse? (That is not a request).
