The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Photo Hunt Triangle
Running late and I'm finding it hard to type and hold a mouse at present what with an infected thumb. This is my entry for this week's photo hunt. It;s a reworked version of an earlier entry. It's a snowdrop from below... honest!
Infected thumb? Weird... I have rashes on two of my finger tips this week! (And yes, I have gone to see a doctor -- and the rashes do look like they're going away!)
Sorry to hear about your infected thumb, Jams! Hope it gets better soon. I had the same mouse problem when I broke my hands a couple of years back (no sick leave left and I HAD to work despite it. Takes two finger typing to the extreme!).
Snowdrop.. as in a flower? Wow! Hope the thumb gets better... sometimes hard to get an infection out of the hand... good luck. My lighthouse triangles are here.
Looks like everyone let their imagination run wild...presumed it to be some kind of a flower but not the real ones...great effect and good portrait of your nephew.
Sympathise with the thumb! My right arm is broken in 2 places and typing with one hand is so painful, frustrating and slow! My return visits tend to be a little late but I'm getting there!

ReplyDeleteGreat triangle. Very ingenious.
ReplyDeleteYou're running around your garden chasing all kinds of critters for your photoblog. No wonder one of them bit your thumb. It could be poison, y' know?
I like it, I am glad you explained what it is though :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope your thumb improves soon.
Wow, I would never have guessed snowdrop! And hope your thumb feels better. You need to rest it up so that you can type out more hen haikus!
ReplyDeleteI would've never guessed it either. It looks stranger, I thought it came from outer space :D. Hope your thumb heals soon.
