The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Yes, the smell is a delight. I never knew that Honeysuckle was also called Woodbine, which by the way I associate with tobacco!
I've but rarely seen Honeysuckle in Sydney. I'm quite thrilled when I do; it reminds me of England and it's such a treat for the eyes and nose besides. Jasmine is more common here and lovely but I think of it as the less subtle cousin of Honeysuckle.
I've always loved this plant, especially the smell. And that patch of blue sky is more than I've seen in days.

It truly has a glorious scent and I love the unusual looking flowers. Much as I like Jasmine this is the scent for cooler climes!
