Okay, now that I got that out of my system, really interesting photograph. I wonder if that species resides in North America too?

  4. Agreedm Faser. Luckily it is less than half an inch in size. Very pleased with the pic which is also my hundredth post!

You do get Crab spiders in teh US elasticwaistbaandlady.. I don't think the american species are venomous (ors arent't)

We don't harm spiders either sonshine. Our garden is an insect paradise, especially for bees and butterflies. Wasps too as they are good for the garden, not to mention ladybirds (ladybugs).

  5. I've planted specifically with butterflies, bumble bees, and ladybugs in mind.

Wasps, no. I hate them and we have a particularly vicious species here that seems to be more aggressive than other places. We also have African killer bees that have attacked here in Houston. Fire ants, you have no idea what a scourge to humanity they are. Just thinking about it is making me itch.

Congratulations on your hundreth post Jams!!!

  8. Red, it is a tiny little spider only 10mm or so big. No probs for us but death to unsuspecting bees!
