The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Mimi is still astonished that there has been no let up in the torrent of drivel. I will of course ensure that the Poor Mouth maintains its extremely low standards over the next 1,000 posts...
Congrats, Jams!!!! Who knew there was so much to say? I've been meaning to tell you, mildly related to you Powerpuff piece, that Jung Chang's biography of Mao just came out over here--maybe you've had it awhile?? Is that going to be on your reading list? I may put it on a Christmas wish list. :) Give Mimi a love for me.
Hey Jams- Could you give a shout out to some of you friends and buddies to go by this link and vote for me? I can get this really neat camera extension (Xshot) and a year's subscription to ProFlickr.
