The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Cuckoo Pint
the berries of Arum maculatum (aka Cuckoo Pint, aka Lords and Ladies)
With a side order of those nice red and wiht spooted mushrooms and a green leaf sald of foxglove and monkshood, Some yew seeds thrown sprnkled over the top in case any of teh others didn't do their job properly!
What an interesting name. Lovely rich red and green colors.
