ReplyDeleteJames I am really very pleased with the photo
Love the photo, love the flower.
ReplyDeleteA photoshop treatment or do you have a little box to stage the flowers in?
It did soften the image in Nikon with a bit of aussian Blur but apart from that I can get the effect by:
ReplyDelete1) choosing a flower with nothing cluttering its background
2) use a macro lens or a general lens with a macro capability
3) stop down the lens as far as possble. This was taken at f32
3) use a ring flash or a low power flash
The flash has low penetration and the stopping down reduces the light. THat means that the forefront is lit and in crisp focus, the background is dark
Et voila! Now I have told you I will have to kill you!
I love this shot. The structure and variety within the bloom really stands out.
ReplyDeleteNice selection. I Love the Echinops, Happy WW Jams!
