The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Boris as still life
Boris does not seem to worry about my inveterate untidiness
Everytime I see Boris so luxuriously resting, I go back to bed and try to imitate the posture to fall asleep. Alas! I'm not that supple, and I hear my old bones cracking....Cats are so fortunate, and some (like Boris) more than others.
Tickle that tummy and die?

Two types of cats I find - those who love a tummy tickle and those who go for the kill if you try.
