The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Well if trouble is brewing those two pussycats better start running. Wouldn't say boo to a goose, or even a gosling really, would they? Or even to an incubating egg.
Ah... but if the camera-shy OTHER nephew is on the way... then it would make sense...
