Mari Boine

I must give my thanks to Bob of Bob From Brockley for providing me with an introduction to this wonderful Sami singer.  Last week Bob wrote the first of a  number of posts on pop and politics, about the musical tastes of fellow bloggers. I was featured in this post - apparently I introduced him to Mor Karbasi and Marzieh. One of the commenters mentioned Mari so I had to investigate. I had never heard of her before but I will be listening to her quite a lot in the future!
