I have been so delighted at the number of third rate simulacra that have been turning over the last year or so. Among many other papers The Sun reports on a creosote stain Jesus that has appeared on a drainpipe in Coventry

Nurse Alex Cotton, 38, spotted the face of Jesus - on her drainpipe. Apparently she saw the image in a creosote stain as she relaxed in her garden.

She has invited Pope Benedict to pop round to her Coventry home and bless it when he visits the Midlands on his trip to the UK in September.
