The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Details of the Battle of Britain Memorial, Victoria Embankment
London must have a few odd buildings. In NYC many native have an affection for the odd triangular Flat Iron Building. I like the Chrysler Building better than the Empire State.

Beak, there are some very interesting bui9ldings indeed, I do like the Gherkin - pretty neat for a modern building. The Telecom Tower, St Pauls Parliament, and so on. I will have to visit teh FLat Iron building one day for sure.

I hate 60s.70s brutalist concrete and glass
