The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I don't care if it's a veggie sausage, it's mine now
Ha ha! It would take a brave person to try to wrestle that away from him. He looks positively leonine and scary! My Tim (RIP) used to love stealing corn cobs and chewing off the last vestiges of corn. He'd growl like a mad thing if anyone tried to take one off him.
Siani, he was growling and swearing at teh other cats, Eventually he ran out through the cat flap. He came back a couple of minutes later licking his chops!
Not willingly LB but then again my cats will eat cakes and coleslaw. One cat I had had a thing for wallpaper past!
I daresay he's scoff that too Jen.
Oh yes veggie sausages are safe for cats but obviously there's no way we'd put a cat on a vegetarian diet. It is theoretically possible if additional amino acids are provided but I couldnt see our four willingly submit to that sort of diet!
There's no mint or anything closely related in those sausages? There are spices that are close enough to catnip to cause the same reaction, although it is possible that he only wants it because the others want it.
I find that sort of "prize" when vacuuming [hoovering] under furniture.
Robyn certainly looks determined to hang on to his banger.
I think it was because the girls were interested in it that made him think I'm Alpha cat, any scavenging is going to be done by me". He doesn't often get like that but he can be pretty fearsome when he does!
