I went to the Terracotta Warior exhibition at the British Museum on Friday. The other half wanted a figurine so a figurine I bought! He will take pride of place in the front window. This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday edition of Wordless Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteI agree with napaboaniya. I have seen lots of documentaries of the terracotta warriors -- and still lots more are being discovered. Amazing eh?

That is beautiful. I've been to the British Museum... my favorite part was all of the marble and bronze statues.
ReplyDeleteJams, Bombay Company offer replicas of these warriors from the tomb in China. They were made of something that felt like terra cotta (and broke like terra cotta) and they were 3.5 -4 inches high. I bought 4 of them, all different and placed them on my fireplace mantle. I love them! They join my Asian decoration theme. How big and tall is your figurine?

ReplyDeleteInteresting figurine. He will make quite a statement in your front window... And, I loved the British Museum when I went last year. I was in awe of how much there is to see! I was also amazed at how many people walk around video-taping the exhibits, like the mummies, for example. I thought that very odd, so I pulled out my camera and joined in the fun! :D
