WW - Liverpool Street Station
This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of Wordless Wednesday.
Wow that is an impressive picture!! there is so much going on there... and for some reason the B&W makes it feel more real, more 'raw' - don't know if that makes sense? I like it though!!
Hey Jams, it sure doesn't look very crowded. I wonder how much worse it gets during rush hours?
Congratulations on the 200,000th reader! I'm only sitting at 31,000+ although I did have my 1000th post a few days ago. This is on my main blog. http://jimmiehov.blogspot.com/
Cat pee, I did a post on that. It gets quite a few hits. Find it on a lessor blog, http://jimmiehov8.blogspot.com/2008/01/her-cat-pees-on-furniture-reader-is.html
Hi Jams, my Wednesday Version of WW will be up later, just a little peek under your Kilt. I used your photos today and have had some good responses to them. Thank you so much from across the pond. Congrats on 200K, wow, you are a superstar.
Great shot! Love the added movement through the blurry spots. I recently took one in our main train station...it could be my next ww :) Happy Wednesday!
It was busy at Liverpool Street Station when you took that photo. I like the way you took the shot, very creative! The black/white makes it even more impressive.
Haha Chris.. happy memories and a cab to Hornchurch too?
Right blue, The shot was taken at a 2 second exposure. Luckily I didnt need a tripod as I could place it safely on top of a huge advertising scren hanging from a balcony

I don't think I've ever seen Liverpool Street station so uncrowded. I like the black and white effect.
ReplyDeleteExcellent capture, and wonderfully captured at that. The b&w adds to the storytelling and "live action."
ReplyDeleteLove it!

How slow was your shutter speed in order to get the blur? It's quite an arty shot.

I like the slightly blurred people, hinting at the hub-bub.
ReplyDeleteThe station is huge! I might visit this place in the future because my hubby is a Liverpool fan and he is planning to visit Liverpool. :)
ReplyDeleteTHanks Julia, thannks ECL. Liverpool St is in London and strangley the trains from the station go nowhere near Liverpool!
ReplyDeletefrom the third world's point of view, it appears like an international airport to me.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see train stations like that.
