A statue of Dr Pat O'Callaghan, Banteer, County Cork, who won Olympic gold in the hammer competition at the 1928 and 1932 games.

    Did anyone believe, with the economy as it's, that anyone would boycott the Olympics?

  4. I get very little spam and taking down word verification has not increased it. I will reinstate if it becomes a problem though.

    I don't think a boycott was on the cards at all.
