The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Happy birthday, Mr. O'Donnell! And many thanks that in cooperation with your wife you created this tiny creature called Bonaparte O'Coonassa who once would become famous, admired and beloved as 'Teh [sic! :)] Poor Mouth'.

Ah thanks everyone. Dad is not doing badly at all, He is a bit slow and deaf, and a bit cotchety at times but with he and mum I could not have asked for better parents. They gave me and my sister the best possible start in life that they could
