The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

First bloom on the Tree Paeony
Warmer days are ahead when our species Tree Paeony (Paeonia lutea var.ludlowii)
Gorgeous picture and bloom. Ours are a little behind yours. It will probably be another week. Our herbaceous peony is blooming this week - paeonia mlokosewitschii. It is usually our first.

ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty from China Knatolee. It grows upto 4m tall
ReplyDeleteThe Caucasus paeony sounds wonderful. A lot shorter than the Ludlowii though!
