The theme for the week's
Photo Hunt is numerical.I had no idea what to put up for this theme so I had to strewth (as I imagine many will this week!) Today I tried out my new macro lens on another Toadflax brocade moth caterpillar (we had them first a couple of months ago and saw a moth last month).. well there was one of them and it looks a little like a number one....
what a gorgeous choice for the hunt. FULL of beautiful color!
ReplyDeleteHe does look like a colorful and ornate number one. Beautiful caterpillar. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteand i was thinking also that the metamorphosis from caterpillar to eventual butterfly is a step by step process, a numerical sequence of sorts, so this week's entry of yours is quite on the money too =]
ReplyDeleteand speaking of money...
What a great photo of a beautiful creepy crawly. Love your spin on this tough theme!
ReplyDeleteHope your leg is feeling better.
What a great caterpillar!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like the number one !
ReplyDeleteHappy hunting!
Thanks. It was the first uce of a new macro lens. The old one was excellent but focussing was slow and the lens extended which caused problems with some subjects
ReplyDeleteGreat pic, and a creative take on this difficult theme :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of both the caterpillar and the flower.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture but only a number 1 if the writer had been imbibing.
ReplyDeleteHi Jams --
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone in being this creative... In particular, a few months ago here in Hong Kong, there was a photography exhibition with plenty of photos on that theme (of seeing numerals in nature and such)! ;b

Great photo! You caught the caterpillar in all its fine detail and potential yumminess! (I love moths, I imagine their caterpillars would be even tastier.)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot - I think I'm going to have to get one of those lenses! This week's theme was HARD! You managed with your usual style. LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Did you try to count the number of yellow stripes? Right now, in school we have monarch caterpillera. I wonder if I should get the kids to count the stripes since they are learning to count 100.
