The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

The theme for the week's Photo Hunt is itchy. Okay s this nettle is initially sting-y, it soon itches like hell
Oh the dreaded nettle. Your photo makes me want to go and grab my gaiters! When I saw this week's theme I immediately thought of all the itchy hikes I've had, but I didn't have a single picture of the prickly plants!

Nice shot. I remember being stung by nettles as a child. Horrible!
