The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

THe Court of the Crimson King
Screw labels some music stands the test of time wonderfully (well maybe not the lyrics..,). I wonder which albums released in 2010 will still be listened to in 2051...
This song also appears in one of my favourites films (Children of Men), which only makes it better n my mind.
ReplyDeleteThat was an excellent film. It certainly is a piece that stands the test
ReplyDeleteThis album in vinyl is stored under my bed with all my other vinyl. No record player anymore. A fine album purloined from my brother.
ReplyDeleteAh well worth spending the shekels on the CD or seeing if the album is on Spotify
ReplyDeleteI recently bought the re-issue that was mixed by Steven Wilson! Fabulous album. I'm sure it will be listened to in 2051, if the world still exists! :O
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that it will still be listened to in 40 years time. It is a truly great album!
