Holly berries

5 comments:

  1. The holly and the ivy,
    When they are both full grown,
    Of all the trees that are in the wood,
    The holly bears the crown.

    Oh, the rising of the sun,
    And the running of the deer;
    The playing of the merry organ,
    Sweet singing in the choir.

    (Yes, I'm full of English Christmas music; I have been so for at least 40 years. I'll spare you the other dozen stanzas of that one, but your intense photo inspired me to sing aloud.)
