The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I am very pleased with it too. If only people would point their cameras straight at the sun!
Agreed - I do that all the time, but although getting many fine images I have never got one quite as stunning as that one.
I suppose it's good fortune on my part H!
