The same winter Afternoon in Wennington

  1. The first of the duo has much more atmosphere.

    The dark sky, the tower extending into the darkness and the 'bigger' tower all contribute to that atmosphere.

    Mind you I'd be delighted with no.2.

  2. I agree Calum, the first is the better of the two, I got the effect by using filters. A red and a polarising filter together does darken the sky considerably even when taking a spot meter reading off the tower.

  5. Thanks Sphinx. Actually it is quite a small church servicing what used to be little more than a hamlet at one time. Like Hornchurch and Romford (both were bigger) it got absorbed into greater London.
