The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Dryad
Dryad found on a Black Poplar, the Chase, Dagenham
It's an education blogging is. I had to look up "Dryad", thus revealing that my view of "Jams' interesting photo of some cow dung" was not what I thought it was. So, a mission is born: I shall seek out some Dungads - those much overlooked dung nymphs that Greek mythology foolishly ignored. If you spot any before me do please show. Their time should come.

The reason I stopped taking drugs in the 60's was that I kept seeing people turn into flowers.
