The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Young Love
Mum and Dad, 62 years after they first met and over 57 years since they married
I think this is your best, Shaun. Young love which has endured the test of time. You can see it in the smiling way they look at each other. And they're not models. It's for real. Congratulations!
Indeed... "52 years after they first met and over 57 years since they married", so they were married for 5 years before they first met. Ah they did have more civilised courtships in those days (or time machines?)
I think the 52 v 57 issue was what Francis was nudging you about though, not the young love issue. Difference between a caption and a title. This does not count as a typo, but I am worried about what may happen if Don QuiScottie spots it... He may add a fourth enemy to his list...
Actually the Don has never seemed much troubled by flawed logic, indeed he is somewhat of a specialist in it (so I've heard). Glad to hear the laws of the universe have been restored by you Jams... now, could you maybe also fix these little neutrinos being thrown too fast to Italy by CERN?
Well the good Don is unique! As for CERN, I'll dig out my sonic screwdriver and give the tappets on Chronosynclastic Infundibulum a bit of a tightening. That should slow down those naughty neutrinos.
Actually that last picture is quite possibly the best of your vast collection. Certainly up there near the top. I'd love to see Mum and Dad mimicking your 'Alley Cats' poses in front of the colourful graffiti though - that would be quite something.
There are episodes, tiny gestures, little follies that we shall never forget ... without (the need of) / despite not always thinking of them. This very photo will turn out to be part of your eidetic memory; if it not already is. A treasure, my friend. I do feel happy for you.

Don QuiScottie can be placated Andrew, the temporal error has been rectified. The laws of Physics are back firmly in control
