The Diver: Regeneartion Revisited

I've changed my mind about John Kaufman's riverine sculpture. On first sight I didn't care for it much but now I do really like it.

Kaufman, who died in 2002 was inspired by his grandfather who worked as a diver in the London dockyards. It is meant as a tribute to those who worked in difficult and dangerous circumstances. The more I see it the more I feel it is a fine work

  4. As someone else whose father had a dangerous, even if more common job (as a coal miner), I like it too.
