The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

More flowers brazenly showing off their bits
I've had a crap week and while there are subjects of interest, I think a day of gardening is in order. Here's anohter pic of a tree paeony flower. Definitely one of the best features of our garden.
Well, on the Infidel garden front....My daylilies are waaaaayyy behind schedule. They have just now started to sport burgeoning buds, but no blooms yet. My summer staple of Angelonia/Angelmist(Summer snapdragons) has recuperated from their dormant winter and is already sprouting and blooming a full month ahead of the prognosticated time.
What's growing the best in my yard right now? The weeds. >:(
I love the vibrant yellow of this flower, jams. Gorgeous!
Plentu of weeds here too. I still need to weed the beds properly! Even so it sounds like you ahve a lot of nice things to come. I love day lilies. WE have one which hangs in there peeping out from the bigger bruiser plants!
