The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

I've never managed to capture that many before! Hungry bees...
I never usually see more than two on an Echinops at any time Four was pretty unusual!
Love those bumblebees, but they're having a pretty hard time over in Ireland and the UK, are they not? Great photo!
