The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Was in a meeting in Plymouth last week & one of the attendees was drinking tea from a VDG mug. Had quick chat re the merits of the band & Peter Hammill, neither of which ironically are my cup of tea.
