Award! Award!

My thanks go to Roger at Idaho Daily Photo for my first award of 2009 - a Van Gogh ear!

Van Gogh's Ear Award

Mercifully I have not wish at this present time to hack off a lughole and offer it to a woman (the not-wife has already hacked off two beloved parts.... sighs). Thanks Roger. Much appreciated!

As you can see I was delighted to receive the award, even if in real life it looks like a bottle of Jack Daniels

And finally this prestigious award from Maddy

As ever the ceremony was filmed:

Thanks everyone. As for passing the awards on. I love each an every one of my visitors. Consider yourself awarded!

Award, Award

It's always nice to be appreciated and get awards - it proves that there are connoisseurs of the sort of drivel I serve up on the Poor Mouth daily! So here goes

From Siani, who I first encountered online nearly seven years ago

From Poons

From the Teach

Thanks y'all. Once again I have footage of the award ceremony!

Xmas tree meme and award

I was tagged by Liza to participate in the first Christmas tree carnival. Who was I to turn that offer down? Our tree is a Nordland fir. It is about as wide as it is high - perhaps a poor choice in a narrow house! we like it though.

I won't tag anyone but if you want to take part, follow these rules:

This is a first annual 2007 Christmas Tree Blog Parade meme created and conceptualized by OTWOMD of Bluepanjeet.Net The purpose of this meme is to enliven the Christmas spirit by showing to the world our very own Christmas trees. They say that it is on the Christmas tree that best describes how a person celebrates Christmas. So here are the rules:

1. Copy the Logo of this meme (Download it on the sidebar and resize it that will best fit your blog or according to your desire) and post it on your entry.
2. Take a photo of your Christmas tree inside your house. A whole shot is the most appropriate photo. And post it on your entry
3. Tell something about your Christmas tree like who decorated it, what are the ornaments and accessories, or what is the theme and meaning of your Christmas tree this year.
4. You can put any title on your meme but don’t forget to include this “2007 1st Christmas Tree Blog Parade”.
5. Do the link train history. Put the link of your previous bloggers who tagged you and your own link, Example: Tag History: Bluepanjeet - “you” -

The link train will provide clue on “who tagged who” and at the same time a reference of data for the creator of this meme.

On The feast of Three Kings on January (The official ending of the Christmas Season), Bluepanjeet.Net will launch a mini site that will feature all of the participant’s Christmas trees for 2007 with a link back to their site. That is why it is very vital that you maintain the link history so that your Christmas tree will be included in the Christmas tree blog parade of 2007 and will be a part of history.

So tag now, you only have one month to spread this meme.

I was also presented another award by Siani. Thanks Siani! I'm glad you like the Poor Mouth

Award! Award! (again!)

Awards are like buses, I wait ages then a load come by at the same time. Here are two more.

The first is from Teacher Julie

This one is from my dear friend Siani.

My ego runneth over! It will take me ages to decide who to award them to. Instead I have decided to open them up for sale. Any bid over 3 pence will be considered....

Award! Award! (again)

Woohoo! I have another excuse to post this clip from Father Ted, the second best sitcom of all time (after Blackadder):

The occasion of said excuse? Siani over at Siani's Pot Pourri has awarded me a blogger of the month. Siani and I have been online friends for almost as long as I have I got home internet access in 2001. Thanks!

I will pay the compliment forward shortly

Award! Award! part II

Another one: hot on the heels of of the creative blogger, Shaz at Us Danes & our Family has given me an "I Love your Blog" award.

Thanks Shaz. I'm glad you like the Poor Mouth. It came as such a shock that my language was rather intemperate bu my apology was sincere:

So who will I pass this on to? It has to be Elasticwaistbandlady for her humour and her long standing support for this blog.

Award! Award!

It's always great to be appreciated so I was delighted when Moving Mama , a fellow Wordless Wednesday participant, awarded me with a creative blogger award on the strength of my photos. I don't pretend to be a very good photographer but it does please me that people like them. Thank' very much Moving Mama!

The award ceremony was a simple affair as filmed below:

In reality, however, Father Jack is rather better looking and more coherent than I am....

Who to pass this on to? It has to be Jenn in Holland for her excellent Looking Into photoblog

Award...

Simone or Simone's Butterfly has given me an award for my ability to schmooze whhic is described thus:

Schmoozing is the natural ability to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection. Good schmoozers effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogsphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship....

I am touched! and I will have to think about paying forward this award to other worthy recipients. In the meantime here is footage of my favourite ever award ceremony:
