The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Now don't be smug, no one has no gaps in his/her knowledge and you are never too old to learn. My aim is to learn a new thing every day, now the problem is to remember it.
EWBL - heh! You know, "NOGAPS" is the acronym for one of the half dozen or more hurricane mathematical models published by our National Weather Service. You and I, EWBL, depended on NOGAPS (along with other models) to find out that we had to secure everything for Hurricane Ike a couple months ago in Houston. So I guess we really did have NOGAPS in our knowledge!
