Your country has gone down the crapper:

Unemployment is 80%, inflation is in four figures, what do you do turn your economy around? If you’re Zimbabwe you approve legislation that will force white business owners to hand over 51% of their business interests to black people.

Paul Mangwana, the minister in charge of black empowerment, said only white people "disadvantaged by the colonial system" before independence in 1980 were defined as "indigenous" Zimbabweans who would be allowed to keep majority control of businesses. "The bill is not about economics, but politics. It is about the total liberation of Zimbabwe. The legislation has yet to be approved by the senate and signed into law by President Robert Mugabe, although I would imagine these are formalities.

Like the farm takeovers, the purpose of the bill is to correct colonial-era imbalances. The farm takeover was of course a triumph... (if the colour of the sky in your world is pink with purple spots). It is a pathetic attempt by a vile thug to divert attention away from the disaster that is the country’s economy.

I rarely think that coups, depsoing politicians and assassinations are appropriate political responsses, bu there are some exceptions. Like Zimbabwe 2007.

Agreed Colin. Zim is a country crying out for regime change

Just another example of Communism creating a disaster. Apartheid was evil but this is worse. People did not starve under apartheid as bad as it was. Apartheid was a vile system but those on the left who pretend their own creations are better are ignorant.

Of course after the far left agitates and creates these messes they talk about feigned high hopes and this song and dance gets old.
They merely repeat this process with the next Communist mess. We will be saying this about Venezuela in about five years or perhaps ten. By then the usual suspects will have a new comunist savior.

Mugabe's time has gone. He's clinging on to power for dear life. Personally I don't care what political stripe he is. scum is scum in my books. Someone should stamp huis fingers and lest him fall into teh abyss before he takes the whole country with him

An economic basketcase indeed. An illiteracy rate of 80% with no real concerted effort by the government for educational improvements. Under Mugabe, the inflation rate will soon be an astounding 15,000,000% per year. No wonder that people are flooding out of this country in droves.

I don't blame them at all Roman. Trying to survive in Zimbabwe at present must be virtually impossible. I do feel for the people of Zim. Like many other people across this world of ours they deserve far better than this.

It's easier to blame racial inequality and blame racial injustices than to get yourself elbow deep in shit and do the hard work yourself.

I'm tired of all this blame, blame, blame taking the place of action towards working for a solution. Most of the 'Rights Groups' here have bigger mouths than hearts.

Colonialism rovided a basis for such injustices in Africa. That said, In Zimbabwe's case it is a smokescreen for Mugabe's mismanagement
